So you have made a decision to move to a new country, whether it be for a short or long period it will be an exciting time that we want to help you through.

If you are a Registered Nurse, Doctor or Allied Health Professional you will need to register with your affiliated body (see Professions/Further Information). It is best to get this underway as soon as possible as it can take sometime.
Australia is the sixth largest country in the world and is 50% larger than Europe yet has one of the lowest population densities. Australia's multicultural population is almost 20 million and includes the indigenous population of Aborigines. It is an independent nation and a member of the Commonwealth.
It is a land of amazing geographical diversity from miles of unspoiled beaches, tropical rain forests, mountains, desert and outback terrain. It's scenery and wonderful natural beauty make it a fascinating country in which to live and work.
Australia is made up of six states and two territories each with its own identity. It's major cities are very cosmopolitan, packed with scenic and cultural attractions from art galleries and museums, to the superb selection of restaurants lively music and sporting facilities.
Being such a large country travelling long distances is nothing to the average Australian and internal flights from the major cities are heavily used in both business and tourist travel.
Blessed with a terrific climate and an outside lifestyle, Australia is one of the most popular destinations in which to work for healthcare professionals.
